Lost World
On this trip, we will visit two of Thailand's national parks: Khao Wong and Khao Chi Mao. They are located 120 km from Pattaya. During the journey, we spend 1.5 hours and arrive at a stunningly beautiful place. A true 'Lost World'
Pristine primitive jungles, rivers flowing from caves, monkeys hanging on vines from cliffs,奇异的岩石, numerous caves and waterfalls.
The first stop is an unusual Buddhist monastery amidst the rocks. It is partly situated in caves. Here, a unique natural wonder exists — one of the stalagmites has formed into the shape of Buddha. A giant statue of a monk who achieved enlightenment and lived over a hundred years is located here. He is highly revered in Thailand. He founded the monastery, and even the king, who was also a monk, visited it. In one of the caves within the monastery, there is a reclining Buddha statue. Many monkeys live in harmony with the monks right within the monastery.
Then, after putting on rubber boots and grabbing flashlights, we embark on an underground journey. Passing through a system of nine caves, we reach a place accessible only via this route. Here, the pristine nature has been preserved. We will see amazing natural phenomena: stalactites, stalagmites, and stalagmates that have formed over millions of years. The caves are inhabited by thousands of bats, making the place even more impressive and mysterious. The park contains a total of 86 unique karst caves.
After exploring the caves, we visit another national park, Khao Chi Mao, famous for its waterfalls.
Having lunch at a jungle restaurant, we proceed to an eight-tier waterfall with crystal-clear, almost drinking-water quality mountain cold water. At the fifth level is a natural wonder — a unique emerald pool where we will swim under a cascade waterfall. The chance of encountering other tourists here is minimal. Usually, we are alone.
At the lower levels, we feed the numerous large fish. Visitors can also tour the park’s natural museum.
After swimming and enjoying tea, tired but happy, we return to Pattaya, thrilled by these incredible places.
On the way back, we will stop at a unique jungle restaurant where we can feed beautiful black swans floating among the tables near a small waterfall. To reach the restaurant, we will pass through a cave.
