Bangkok Evening in Old Siam
Impressed by the beauty of local parks and architecture? Then you should see all the most historically significant structures of Thailand (in original or scaled-down size) in one day at the stunning Muang Boran Museum-Park, and learn about Thai views of the universe at the Eravan Museum-Temple, famous for its grand view, luxurious interior, and beautiful surrounding territory.
Excursion
"Evening in Old Siam"
from Pattaya
(Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun)
This is a multi-hour journey filled with unforgettable adventures:
- Visit to the Eravan Museum-Temple;
- Tour of a scaled-down replica of Thailand – the "Ancient Siam (Muang Boran)" Museum-Park;
- The new glass bridge over the Gulf of Siam (open if no rain);
- Interaction with unusual live creatures at the contact zoo;
- Dinner buffet with European and national cuisine and much more!
Your route begins at the incredibly treasure-rich Eravan Museum-Temple, which from afar attracts attention with its giant three-headed elephant on the roof! The elephant is a 250-ton, 29-meter-high, 39-meter-wide bronze sculpture. The temple is a large three-headed elephant statue situated in a beautiful garden with sculptures, water channels, and benches.
Next, the route takes you through Samut Prakan city to Thailand's largest museum-park "Ancient Siam (Muang Boran)", which reflects the shape of the country.
Your trip will start in the far south of Thailand, then move along the western border to the northernmost point, and then head southeast into Isan.
Interestingly, the park resembles the Kingdom of Thailand not only in shape but also in content. Walking through the park, you will easily find interesting sights: copies of architectural monuments (more than a hundred), positioned exactly as the originals are in Thailand. Some copies are life-sized, others are significantly scaled down. The jewel of the park is the replica of the UNESCO-protected Khmer temple-palace "Prasat Vihan", located on a hilltop between Cambodia and Thailand in Isan.
We recommend exploring the park both on land and from the water, as water offers completely different views! You can get very close to the preserved ancient royal fleet of Siam on a boat, docked in the heart of a large lake. It’s a unique opportunity to see the ships on which the famous kings of Siam traveled!
The park also hosts unusual zoo residents, whom you should definitely pet and feed! During breaks, relax at the pleasant restaurants located on the floating market.
In the final part of this excursion, in the evening at sunset, we visit another unique temple – Wat Hong, located on stilts in the sea in the Gulf of Siam.
Wat Hong is a very beautiful, unusual, and charming temple. Its name translates as "Hidden Jewel". On February 1, 2023, a new glass bridge over the sea was opened at Wat Hong.
